"It's not easy finding comfortable and stylish footwear for size 15 feet. I'm often left jealous of people with "human-sized" feet and all the choices they have in cool shoes/sneaks/sandels. So you can imagine how happy I was to find Birks in my size!

I've been wearing my Milanos for four seasons now. They've outlasted every pair of shoes I've owned, needing only the occasional resoling. And being a huge fan of being barefoot constantly, it's HUGE to find shoes that I actually ENJOY wearing.

I never understood why my feet wouldn't fit into slim ladies Italian shoes while I was a teenage looking longingly at Capezios, etc.
It wasn't until I tried on my first pair of Birks, 25 years ago, that I realized that what I needed was German peasant shoes for my German peasant feet!  All my genes come from Germany, and not upper class.  Finally I went back to my roots, and my feet have been smiling ever since.
